The alignment, clarity, and developmental appropriateness of all assessments in this unit coincide with the required standards and objectives. All of the lessons were created based on content objectives which were created from the priority standards outlined by Weld County District 6. The objectives are clear because they address the priority standards, and the assessments align with the expected learning targets. The assessments are appropriate because they specifically target each of the priority standards required, as well as the 21st Century Skills and Literacy objectives outlined in each lesson. They use developmentally appropriate language and vocabulary that is addressed and linked with learning and the content. This unit/lessons are specific to English 9. The pre- and post- assessments aligned with the overall scaffolding of the unit and demonstrated relevance and growth based on the appropriate priority standards for this unit.
